I’m Ailina Carona, and I’m ready to serve as your State Representative for District 57.

Our campaign is fighting for policies that improve the quality of life for every Wilson County resident, while ensuring each and every person maintains their individual constitutional rights—equally. I seek to bring light to the backroom deals negatively affecting our children’s education and safety. I will work to provide a seat at the table for the marginalized groups in our community. It is time to bring unity, empathy, and transparency back to our government. It is time for real change.

I’m Ailina Carona, and I’m a voice for all of Wilson County. Are you ready to join me?

ABOUT
AILINA

Ailina Carona is running for Tennessee State House in District 57. A working mom, Ailina lives in Mt. Juliet with her husband and three daughters, who all attend public school. She and her family love Wilson County, and want it to be a community that listens to all of its residents—especially those who feel frustrated and overlooked.

The daughter of a Mexican immigrant, Ailina isn’t afraid of hard work and standing up for what’s right—or speaking up for people who feel they don’t have a voice. One of Ailina’s daughters has special needs, and she has advocated for more inclusive education policies while navigating the often complex individualized education plan (IEP) process. She is a regular volunteer at her daughter’s elementary school, and has hosted forums for local teachers to discuss school policies and their current needs.

Ailina has worked closely with the Wilson County Democratic party on donating to women’s shelters and raising money for school lunches. She is well-versed in the foster care system, having served as a foster parent for a family member. Ailina is also a small business contractor, and regularly attends Chamber of Commerce luncheons, as well as the monthly womens’ lunches in the Del Webb retirement community.

Ailina is passionate about advocacy, which spurred her to run for office. Her campaign is focused on making every constituent feel valued and heard. She brings her authentic self to the race as a fresh voice for Wilson County.

She hopes to earn your vote!

Shining Light
On The Issues.

Education

I believe that every child has the right to affordable, high quality education. Tennessee ranks among bottom ten states in the country for school funding. Without proper funding, our teachers are not able to provide the best education they possibly can.

In Wilson County we love our educators and believe they should be allowed to teach without any additional, non-educational expectations placed on them. I want our educators to know that they are heard and supported, so they can focus on their students.

Women and
LGBTQ+ Rights

I support bodily autonomy in every way. I don’t believe that the government should be involved in the medical care of anyone—including women. Women should be allowed to make choices that will affect their health and future. I will continue to support and fight for any legislation that gives rights back to individuals.

LGBTQ+ rights are a priority for me. For too long, this community has been treated unjustly. I am committed to seeing Wilson County as a safe space for LGBTQ+ people. This includes standing against curriculum control, book banning, and teachers being forced to out LGBTQ+ youth. The LGBTQ+ community should not be a political pawn— they should be treated with dignity and respect, and should have equal rights.

Sensible Gun Legislation

One thing we can all agree on is keeping our loved ones safe. The tragedy on March 27th, 2023 brought the issue of gun violence to our doorstep. We cannot let the fire for change go out. I believe that we can uphold our second amendment rights while still making our county safer for our children and community. This is why I am a strong supporter of the ERPO law and promoting proper gun safety/storage. By enacting these changes we are creating a safer future for everyone in our community.
